Here at UCLA, we are dedicated to training academic pulmonary and critical care physicians within our dynamic, diverse, and growing faculty practice and fellowship program. Welcome to the UCLA Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program! Our fellowship offers the opportunity to learn from a diverse multidisciplinary staff, all board certified in critical care medicine from fields including internal medicine, pulmonary, general surgery, trauma surgery, anesthesia, neurology, emergency medicine and others. Lastly, they are also expected to acquire skills with regard to the management of an ICU and the triage of critically ill patients. CCM fellows are expected to advance their knowledge of critical care medicine through a concentrated exposure to critically ill patients as well as concentrated time for the study of materials related to such patients. We are the only level 1 Trauma Center in the region and the only academic medical center in New Mexico. Our two-year internal medicine–CCM and internal medicine subspecialty-trained fellows have secured critical care positions in academic teaching and community hospitals throughout the country. The Department of Anesthesiology and the University of Kentucky offers a one-year ACGME-accredited fellowship in Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine. Our program accepts one fellow each year. The program has full ACGME accreditation and graduating fellows are eligible to sit for the Critical Care Medicine Board Exams.
